Me and My day...

It's International Women's Day today. All know about it, right ? The day comes every year, because 8 th March is on calendar. I am a woman, I also know about it . What preparations I have done to Celebrate it? Nothing really. Do you know why ? Because, I consider it ' any other usual day in my life' . Some women may find this inaccurate, foolish , crazy , some may resonate with my thought. Some may say , go enjoy , pamper yourself, don't cook, go to hotel, , post your activities on social media, just chill..anybody stopping you from doing this? No , of course not . Nobody is stopping me . I can definitely decide for myself, I have that freedom . There are many programs organised on this day to felicitate women who show some extraordinary aspects in various avenues of life .Fair enough. Accolades, encouragement, pats on back are absolutely essential. But why on a particular day? Now , i will come to the point why i think it's like any other day for me. When I say For me , I am not looking at only me as single woman , but try to represent every other woman who is as common as I am, and definitely has something about her, which one fails to recognize and acknowledge that something special. How many men give dew credit to their mothers , sisters, wives , daughters,for whatever roles they play in their lives? Voluntarily tell them to relax take it easy , rest , have fun with friends understand their emotionalneeds,give them feeling of security on everyday basis.A liberated woman will say I don'tneed anyone to tell me this. I disagree here, because at back of their mind they need all that. They will like or wish to get pampered be understood , made to feel grateful, respected ,encouraged, well communicated for whatever they do for men in their life. . (This is applicable to women too.) I am using word men here because we still live in the patriarchal society, though there are lot of changes, but obviously not for women of each strata. Therefore, for most women 8th March I suppose is on paper, on TV or social media posts if they have phone access. Truely , every woman should be able to Celebrate this day because they get education, get empowered, love and respect , financial freedom, power to voice her opinion,views and not seen as object. Degrading woman , disrespecting was always happening in all eras. Today we are more aware of it because of technology. At this point I also admit that women are unfortunately using social media in very disgraceful manner to promote them for temporary gains which is absolutely not necessary. There is no equality with men achieved by such behavior. I feel it's very important for woman to find ways to achieve anything by not competting with men to go ahead in all walks of life , but be by the side of men who matter to you and learn to keep them by your side come what may. This is the real celebration on 8th March.
