Me and My day...

It's International Women's Day today. All know about it, right ? The day comes every year, because 8 th March is on calendar. I am a woman, I also know about it . What preparations I have done to Celebrate it? Nothing really. Do you know why ? Because, I consider it ' any other usual day in my life' . Some women may find this inaccurate, foolish , crazy , some may resonate with my thought. Some may say , go enjoy , pamper yourself, don't cook, go to hotel, , post your activities on social media, just chill..anybody stopping you from doing this? No , of course not . Nobody is stopping me . I can definitely decide for myself, I have that freedom . There are many programs organised on this day to felicitate women who show some extraordinary aspects in various avenues of life .Fair enough. Accolades, encouragement, pats on back are absolutely essential. But why on a particular day? Now , i will come to the point why i think it's like any other day for me. W...

जिंदगी फिर भी यहाँ, खुबसुरत है।

  जिंदगी फिर भी यहाँ, खुबसुरत है... Covid,  Covid and Covid... Do we hear anything else these days? Do we get to watch anything else than Covid on TV?  Do we not talk of existing pandemic more than once in a day ? Answers are,  NO,  NO, YES. It's true that this is a different world we are in right now,  difficult times we are living in, facing extremely challenging situations physically,  mentally, economically and socially. I am not going to divulge into details of these challenges because all of us by now are well aware of that. People in various strata of the society are affected in various manners depending on their respective status and life style.  There is lot of negativity around,  bad news, worries among netizens over number of issues concerning living, work, education, health so on and so forth. Heal The World..

There is a big Peepal tree outside my balcony , branches almost at hand's distance from my window. I stand at window these days , more often than earlier . By 'earlier ' , I mean prior to lockdown time. I get to see number of beautiful birds chirping around and cute little squirrels running after each other. Many a times , they visit my window to eat nuts , I keep for them and drink water. Little further away , I see overhead bridge which used to be blocked by traffic jams, from early in the morning and continue till late nights.  The surrounding areas are quiet ,  calm and peaceful . At times I feel I am breathing much cleaner air and get to see some twinkles in the sky in the night. Otherwise , I will spend lots of money, visiting some places away from city's clamour , in search of such peaceful environment.  What I get to hear without fail is temple bells, Azaan and ambulance sirens.       Covid 19 Pandemic declared by WHO, then the lockdowns anno...
